Auschwitz

Auschwitz.

We made the trip to Auschwitz from Krakow. It was a little over a 1 hour bus ride. There are a few sights there Auschwitz 1, 2, and 3.
The Birkenau site Auschwitz 2 is an emotional experience. These chimneys are all that is left of about 80% of the barracks from the site. The barracks that are left are stunning. About 1.5 Million people died at Auschwitz. They have done an amazing job explaining what happend and getting the point across that this needs to be shown to all people in the hope that it will never happen again.

They've also gotten the point across that you can't criticize Israel ever again in any U.S. public office and hope to be re-elected.

There are folks who have argued the historical accuracy of the events that took place in that and other camps. Some would say it never happened at all.

Most of these folks wear hoods so they cannot be identified and harassed for their views. They often times respond to names like 'Cletus' and 'Wilbur'.

Is that ironic, or are they just the proof that Darwin's evolution did not impact all humanoids?

That place gives me chills from four thousand miles. Yeesh.
